I think it’s just a coincidence that I’m listening to The Wasp Factory but I feel it can’t be. I did read it once, a long time ago, but am enjoying taking the time to go over it again.

Been back in China almost a week now and finally got around to my second lot of exercise. I am just struggling to get started. It’s easier when I’m working as I normally use the gym there. Already feeling mentally better, which is good. Maybe tomorrow i’ll get back around to doing some rucking.

In other news, I’m so emotionally tired. Though, physically, I’ve never been fitter, literally. Deadlifted 2x170kg(374lbs) on Friday and while I’ve done a single higher than that, this felt more, and that single was over 12 years ago. Continue to get faster and stronger across short and long workouts.
And yet, work and family have taken over. It’s the end of term and i’m running on empty. Teaching young children is, a lot. Having your own young children, is a lot, too. There’s no escape.

The Killers - Hot Fuss turns 20 apparently. I remember buying it on CD in [Fopp]. Anyway, I was talking to a colleague about how I went through a phase a while back of just trying to listen to albums. So I’m going to start doing that again, I think. Started with Hot Fuss yesterday and on to Sam’s Town today.
