Was due to pick up parents from the airport at midnight but because of a delay, it’ll be a 3am pick up. Time for a short nap.

This quote from MetaFilter resonates a whole lot. I’ve watched episode 7 of Season 2 maybe 10 times now for the former reasons and will probably never watch episode 6 again for the latter.

I bet you all have noticed that when you are painting or drawing you sometimes slip into a state where you forget about yourself. The world around you disappears and you are fully and clearly invested with all your focus and open-mindedness to the art in front of you.

Got told off by Lyra for letting my father-in-law pay for dinner. He snuck off! I should be wise to this, apparently.
Lunch. The right amount of numbing spice for me, which obviously means it wasn’t enough for Lyra.
We followed this by watching Barbie, which I really enjoyed. Then by getting our ears cleaned, which mine definitely needed apparently. However, it definitely feels dangerous having someone do that.

It feels like I’m heading to a point where I’m only British on paper. A strange sensation indeed.
Almost certainly lost my 3.5mm to Lightning adapter. It’s just too small.
5 and a half hours and counting with friends, “talking things over”
I don’t like giant logos for giant companies and generally they’re avoidable. Except shoes I’ve found.
Anyway, the exception is logos for things I feel a connection with.
So, I am grateful the coffee shop 2 minutes from ordered me a copy of the staff’s jumper. My favourite coffee shop!
I think this was my favourite of the first 3. Have picked up the 4th too. Though I need to finish Hidden Potential first…
